Aims and Objects
Aim and Objects of Ayurveda Teachers Association of India are as follows:
- To unite and organise the Ayurveda teachers of India from all sectors such as private, Government aided and Government Colleges and to provide a means for the expression of their collective opinion on matters affecting the interests of Ayurveda education and of the Ayurveda teaching profession.
- To safeguard and improve the conditions of employment of its members, and to promote their interests.
- To regulate the relations between members and their fellow members, and between members and their employers.
- To afford advice and assistance like legal advice, etc. to individual members on professional matters.
- To raise the status of the teaching profession through improved quality of education and conditions of service.
- To promote the principle of equality in all aspects of Ayurveda education uniform salary in all over India, time bound promotion and increase in salary like Career Advancement scheme, PF, etc.
- To do continuous efforts regarding compulsory teaching staffing pattern as Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in each department of Ayurveda College of minimum intake capacity as per UGC guidelines to nourish and improve the Ayurveda education and teaching profession.
- To promote the interests of Ayurveda education and to provide equal Ayurveda education to all admitted students in all over India, and to strive for the raising of educational standards.
- To afford to the authorities like State Governments, AYUSH, CCIM, etc. responsible for the administration of education the collective advice and experience of the members.
- To establish and administer Funds and endowments for the promotion of Ayurveda and providing assistance to members and their dependants in accordance with the rules.
- To encourage the promotion and development of services and facilities of benefit to members such as to organize CME, seminars, workshops, etc. in various branches of Ayurveda.
- To work as whistle blower in all malpractices of Ayurveda academia such as on paper students of UG and PG, on paper teachers, etc.
- To give leadership and stimulate interest in matters which foster state level, national and international unity and understanding.
- To take active participation in elections of all statutory authorities like Universities, CCIM, etc. to fulfill aims and objectives of Association.
- To provide, either directly or indirectly, benefits and facilities for members.
- To support the detailed knowledge of Ayurveda along with necessary knowledge of modern medicine to develop Ayurveda student in to a knowledgeable Ayurveda practitioner.
- To recognize and encourage good qualities of Ayurveda teachers by honouring with awards, etc.
- To undertake academic work of National and International significance.
- To maintain relationship with professional associations, Societies, Colleges and Universities for elevating standards of Ayurvedic academia.
